Vertex Magna HD 10W-40 is a full synthetic lubricant for European heavy duty diesel engines. Employing synthetic technology, manufactured from high quality Polyalphaolefin (PAO) base stock. The absence of ring structures, double bonds, sulphur, nitrogen components and waxy hydrocarbons in PAO base stocks provides an extremely stable high viscosity index, facilitating long drain intervals even under the most demanding conditions. Magna HD 10W-40 is formulated to exceed the demands of Euro IV & V strict emission standards and is suitable for use in older engine types. The product contains an exceptionally high TBN reducing acidity caused by sulphur ingress during the combustion cycle – increasing service intervals up to 60,000 km. Advanced additives ensure full Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) compatibility and protection.
